are available for 40 different natural languages.

publishing programs on all sorts of operating systems.

by numerous comparative tests with other programs carried out by our clients.


are not dictionary-based but algorithm-based.
Algorithm means following the grammatical rules of each language.
Where the rules are inconclusive (combined words, special expressions,
foreign words), they are corrected by program tables consisting of critical
letter combinations, word connections etc.


being algorithm-based, the programs provide the utmost accuracy even with new
word creations and foreign expressions, and they are very fast.


not only split words with the highest level of accuracy, but also complicated
combinations of letters and other characters, combinations too numerous to be
stored into dictionaries. Especially with justified text, all possible hyphen-
ations are indisputable, otherwise there will be unacceptably long gaps in the
text line.


contain language-dependant default values for the minimum length of words or
first/last syllables, forbidden hyphenations etc., that may be redefined by the
user.


have the ability to learn:
Complete or truncated words may be stored into exception dictionaries, with
editing capabilities, of which several are simultaneously accessable by hyphen-
ation.


are defining quality ranking from 1 to 5 for every hyphen.
So a user may define which qualities he wishes to employ for aesthetic line-
breaking.
Quality ranking numbers 1 to 5 may also be inserted into exception dictionary.

are not based on a specific character-code, but are using code-files that may
be edited and are adaptable to every keyboard, even by the user.

with quality ranking
Quality rankings are found using program-logic and -tables, working most
effectively on languages with a high number of combined words, prefixes,
suffixes etc.


without quality ranking
Each hyphen receives a quality ranking of 4.


without the Exception dictionary
All DIHYPH-programs are set up to give excellent results, even without
exception dictionaries.


with the Exception dictionary
The exception dictionary may only be needed for special expressions and
foreign words. Multiple dictionaries may be adapted per language.
